Mr. Skin Announces Nominees for the 15th Annual Anatomy Awards

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) February 06, 2014

Elisabeth Moss may have scored a Globe this year for her role in Top of the Lake, but the gig also has her pitted against her Mad Men co-star January Jones in a more unlikely competition: who’ll take home Best Celebrity Nude Debut at Mr. Skin’s 15th Annual Anatomy Awards! While the Academy Awards celebrate the previous year’s outstanding achievements in areas such as acting and directing, the Anatomy Awards pay tribute to those who bared their ‘souls’ (and everything else) in film and television throughout 2013. As Hollywood braces to discover who’ll receive the industry’s most covetous honor, TV/movie fans can head to Mr. Skin to vote for their favorites starting today.

After 15 years as the foremost authority on celebrity nudity, Mr. Skin says one of the biggest changes he’s seen in the Hollywood nudity biz is the shift from film to television. “The TV landscape has become much more provocative over the past decade and a half, thanks to premium networks who’ve made the experience on par with watching an R rated feature film,” quips Mr. Skin. Of the networks nominated, Showtime leads with 7, followed by Starz with 5, and HBO with 4.

The baron of birthday suits obsession with “celebrating the nudity in film” dates back before the internet, to the year 1980 when as a senior in high school, his parents decided to get cable TV. McBride immediately put his photographic memory to use, fast-forwarding all his favorite movies past the dialogue and straight to the “good parts.” His unusual hobby continued throughout his years at Indiana U, where he received degree in business. After a friend invited him to appear on a local radio show to share his encyclopedia of nudie knowledge, it became apparent he had something special. Mr. Skin was prominently featured in Judd Apatow’s hit movie Knocked Up and as well as being a regular guest on The Howard Stern Show.
